Project Information

"Lilli sets a new benchmark for attainable, design-focused living in one of Melbourne’s most affluent and tightly held inner city suburbs.

Designed by Hecker Guthrie and Elenberg Fraser, Lilli brought Melbourne’s iconic city laneway culture to South Yarra with a pedestrian laneway forming a bustling retail hub connecting Chapel Street to South Yarra station and creating a popular new foodie destination, with high profile hospitality operators Adriano Zumbo, George Calombaris and Two Birds One Stone.

Challenging the notion of a traditional work environment, Lilli also featured 2,500m2 of boutique office suites to complete the vision for a vibrant new precinct for Melbourne.

Photographic artwork by Deborah Paauwe greets residents and guests in the lilli lobby, while renowned Melbourne artist Kathy Temin’s Garden Islands sculpture enhances the streetscape and was the artist’s first major public art commission. The simplified aluminium trees that feature in Garden Islands are a humorous expression of our relationship to the immediate urban and natural environments."
